ABOUT THE ARTIST
Emma Dale is an artist based in Toronto, Ontario. A lifelong painter, Emma constructs evocative images that explore personal experiences and relationships through the reconstruction of memory. She is particularly interested in provisionality, creating paintings that embrace imperfection and reflect the artist's body and mind in a tangible way.​​​
​
Her work prioritizes emotion, empathy, and identity, inviting a myriad of interpretations. Outside of the studio, Emma is committed to facilitating accessible and inclusive art-making practices. She believes that art plays an integral role in human connection and communication and aspires to be an innovative leader within the field of art education.

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL

​​​Emma graduated from the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto in 2025 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Visual Studies. She obtained minors in both Cinema Studies and Creative Expression and Society. Emma is an artist in the Inclusion Program at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital where she works with the Music and Arts Department to lead inclusive arts and nature-based programs that inspire joy.
